Questions, answered.
Everything to know before you tie on an apron. Still curious? Call us at +1 (503) 555-0142.
Do I need experience to join a class?
No. Foundations of Flavor assumes you have never held a chef's knife. Each course page lists its level, and our chefs adjust coaching to every station — beginners and confident cooks share the same table happily.
What is included in the class price?
Everything: ingredients, equipment, apron rental, printed recipe cards and the full meal you cook, eaten together at the end. Wine and zero-proof pairings are available at the studio counter.
Can you handle dietary restrictions?
Yes — tell us when you book and we will adapt your station. Vegetarian adaptations are standard in every course; vegan, gluten-free and allergy-aware versions are available with 72 hours notice.
How many cooks are in each class?
A maximum of twelve, working in pairs at six stations. Small groups mean the chef actually watches you dice that onion — and fixes it before it matters.
What is your cancellation policy?
Full refund or free reschedule up to 7 days before your class, 50% credit up to 72 hours before. Inside 72 hours your seat can be transferred to a friend — just send us their name.
Do you offer private events or team nights?
Yes — the studio hosts private groups of 8 to 40 for birthdays, weddings and team offsites. Write to us through the contact page with your date and headcount.
Can I buy a class as a gift?
Gift seats are available for every course and event. They never expire, they transfer freely, and they arrive as a printed card if you collect one from the studio.
Where are you, and where do I park?
14 Lantern Row, Portland, OR — open Tuesday to Sunday, 9am to 9pm. There is a public garage one block east on Alder, and bike racks right outside our door.
